New Boxee release very smooth
I upgraded my Mini’s installation of Boxee yesterday after I installed Snow Leopard and I must say it is even slicker than the previous release. The response time is improved, it still works flawlessly with Touchpad but I could not get it working with the Boxee remote client for the iPhone.
iPhone client problem aside, the new Boxee release worked wonders with streaming my local media and many of the sync issues that would crop up from time to time seem to be gone.
There was a small problem the first time I launched Hulu – the video didn’t play but the page loaded – but after going back to the menu and coming back into Hulu Feeds I was able to start a copy of Glee with no issues at all. I still have yet to fire up netflix, but all in all it looks to be a stable release with a happy product. Now I just need to get more of my movies on it and a better sound system. I wish my TV took auxiliary audio input with the HDMI signal – that would be sweet.
